Wedding Rehersals  – Why to have them!

Wedding rehersals – why should you have one?

Isn’t there enough to think about without having to worry about wedding rehersals? Well, yes, but there can be a lot of last minute angst about how your day is going to go. Will you know where to go, how fast to walk, where to stand, who goes where? A brief rehersal the day before will put your mind at rest.

Part of the reason for a sleepless night before your wedding could be because you might have thoughts wizzing around! That’s entirely natural, but you can minimise this by a little bit of forward planning. You will be able to ask your officiant any questions and feel more relaxed with them on the actual day.

If you’re getting married in church the vicar or priest should be happy to arrange a quick run through. You will probably have got to know them whilst attending church services, but not necessarily on a one to one basis.

If you have a celebrant ceremony you will have had various meetings with them so that they can get to know you. This is so that they can write a very personal ceremony for you. But even though you know each other a bit, it’s still a good idea to have a quick run through.

F&J's Ceremony

One of our favourite celebrants here is the fabulous Stewart The Celebrant.  He took F & J and their families through the ceremony the evening before the celebrations. All their questions were answered during the wedding rehersal. They all knew where to sit or stand and how the ceremony would progress. As you can see they all look very relaxed on the day itself!

So if at all possible, have that wedding rehersal with your wedding party, it will be worth it!

Happy Planning!
