What do you like about working at Great Betley Farmhouse?
We’ve enjoyed working at Great Betley Farmhouse for a number of years now, alongside clients and Kim from the venue team. We are always ensuring the clients are supplied with what they need to pull off an amazing wedding or celebration. Grizzly Bear Events always have a member of the team at the end of the phone in case of any questions or unforeseen issues.
At Great Betley Farmhouse we encourage sustainability and being environmenally friendly. How does your business support that ethos?
Our generators are ultra silent, high end specification as used by the tv and film industry. They’re renowned by many as the best you can get and have very good fuel efficiency. Grizzly Bear Events fridge trailers are also super insulated and operate with some of the most effective cooling units available. This keeps power consumption down as low as possible.
What advice would you give to couples to help them to plan their celebration?
We’re often recommended by marquee, tipi and stretch tent companies as we know their styles of set up and layouts. We also liaise behind the scenes on requirements and schedules. Our biggest piece of advice is to book as early as possible. We’re a family run small business and don’t own huge stock levels to cover dozens of events each weekend. There is only a 25% deposit to reserve equipment, and you can check out our 5* Google reviews from previous clients.
Good advice there from Ben about booking early – this applies to most items for your wedding or event! My additional piece of advice regarding power is to talk to all of your suppliers to find out exactly what everyone needs. It’s better to hire a higher capacity generator than you need than to skimp. Without the correct power you’ll end up with equipment tripping the system which affects everything!
Without power so much doesn’t work. As you can see from the photos here, the lighting at an event takes the aesthetics to a new level. Trailer loos and showers don’t work without power. There are some food items that you really don’t want to warm up, and there’s bound to be drink that you want to chill. If you’re having shellfish it DEFINITELY needs to be kept at the right temperature, some desserts and cakes with cream or buttercream too.
